Team Raposa Martial Arts ("Team Raposa," "we," "us") operates teamraposa.com and martial arts, boxing, after-school, and camp programs at our locations in Newark, East Hanover, and Linden, New Jersey. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you fill out a form on our website, a Facebook or Instagram lead form, a booking page, or a checkout page, we collect the information you provide: your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, the location and program you're interested in, and, for a child participant, the child's first name and age. If you register or make a purchase, we also collect billing information, which is processed by our payment provider and not stored by us.
We also collect standard website data such as pages visited, device type, and approximate location through cookies and similar tools, including the Meta Pixel and Google Analytics.
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to your inquiry, schedule and confirm trial classes, manage registrations and memberships, send class reminders and program updates, and improve our website and advertising. We may use your information to show you relevant ads on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
Text messages (SMS)
By providing your mobile number and submitting a form, you agree to receive text messages from Team Raposa about your inquiry, appointment reminders, and program information. We do not sell or share mobile opt-in data or SMS consent with third parties for their marketing. Message frequency varies; typically 2–6 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, such as our member management and scheduling software (Spark Membership), scheduling tools, email and text messaging services, payment processors, advertising platforms (Meta, Google), and, for Newark leads, our marketing agency. These providers may use your information only to perform services for us. We may also share information when required by law or to protect the safety of our students and staff.
Children's privacy
Our programs serve children, but our website and forms are intended for use by parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 online. Information about a child participant is provided by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has submitted information to us directly, contact us and we will delete it.
Cookies and advertising
We use cookies and tracking pixels to understand how our site is used and to measure and improve our advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings and adjust ad preferences in your Facebook and Google account settings.
